Genealogical and Historical Records from Medieval Times to the 19th Century

Anthony Kieffer, his wife Catherine Burger and their seven children emigrated from Soufflenheim to East Eden in Erie County, New York in 1830. Children Josephine, Peter, and Phoebe went west as pioneers in 1855, helping found Elba, Minnesota. The  Kieffer Valley is named after them, and the Kreidermacher Valley after Phoebe's husband.
